How can I change my account email to a new email? Xbox / Office issue.

I am trying to transfer my account to my son since it is largely used for the Xbox account that he uses. I would like to change my account email to his. I am having several problems:

I am not able to set up his email as an alias. I am getting the message that they email already exists. It could be that he setup a Microsoft account already with his email.

While I am happy to transfer the account to him so he can use the Xbox profile associated with it (and all the points, history, etc), I also have an Office subscription (2019 Office Home & Student) and that software is installed on my Mac. Can I simply create a new account with my email once I have swapped his email for mine and then use the product key to connect that with my email (same as original account email) ... but in. a new account?

This is creating a lot of consternation here as I would like to untangle myself from the Xbox profile while hopefully not having to buy a new Office license.

Can I change the email on the overall Microsoft account (that the Xbox profile is linked to) to my child's email, and then setup a new Microsoft account with my original email so I can then just use my Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) subscription from that?

My issue is I need to keep my Office subscription with my email address - - which is also the address of the Microsoft account overall. And my email / Microsoft account is linked to the Xbox profile used by my child.

As far as transferring Office 2019, once you've redeemed your product key with an account, it is tied to that account. It looks like this topic has been explored before on the Microsoft 365 and Office forum:

Hi, you can only change the email of your Microsoft account, that will then change the email for any of the services that are associated with your account (XBOX, Office, Windows, etc, etc) https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/my-account/microsoft-account/change-email-sign-in-for-microsoft-account

He already understood that he could change it and yes all you can do is change the email but it will affect his parents skype and office subscriptions if he changes the email to his email and takes off their email from the account they would no longer
be able to sign into their skype and office info with their email. I never said he couldnt change the email I said that there is no way to move a xbox profile from one MS account to another.

Hi Ruski,

If your Microsoft Account's password is changed, no matter how many emails or what email you've used to log in, it will change the password for Xbox, Office, and Skype account passwords. The Microsoft Account is a type of universal login for all Microsoft
services.
