    Does it make sense to get a console if I have no internet.

    I was wondering if it makes any sense to purchase an xbox console if I have no internet access. What would I be able to do with the console and what will I not be able to do. I assume that there is something I can do? From reading the forums it sounds like
    almost all games get patches from the internet to fix problems. So how would I get those patches to fix games that needed patches.

    How can I get the preview access? My friends invited me for a long time ago ,but I still have not receive a message.I really want to have media player support.And I am more than willing to provide feedback on the dash after I am granted access.

    [/quote]Since Microsoft charges big bucks for every update & patch, I doubt there will be a patch then an update the next day. Like I said it will probably be wrapped up into one update/patch at the same time, and that's assuming there will even be a patch.

    How would a patch the same day accessible complicate things? If the developers know they need to patch a game before it launches then they will make the patch available day one. For example: Battlefield 3 had a patch the day it was released.

    This is ridiculous. That's nearly 2 full weeks I've got an external hard drive full of content that I cannot access because the last update was flaky.

    Can we have an official microsoft reply and estimated arrival of the "patch" to return it to how it should be please ?

    I had the freezing issue too. But the patch fixed it for me. Perhaps you have someone's house you can visit with internet access, or a internet cafe (not sure that's allowed thou). There has to be a way to get that patch.

    It can never be patched, because no matter how many patches come ... you can always start a new world and use duplication if you clear your cache of the patches.
