How can both my sons play against each other on Fortnight in the same battle?

Hi, My 2 sons want to play each other on the same battle on Fortnight on our Xbox One S - We currently only have one Xbox account set up which both of them use. If they want to fight each other in the same Fortnight battle do I need to set up a second account for my other son (and pay for another monthly subscription) or is there another way? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Yes,they wiill both need their own Microsoft accounts

You know what, I am glad you had asked because to my knowledge it was not supoorring split screen. But it does! That is ny fault. I am very sorry.

They wont be able to play against each other without a second console but can do duos rogether against other people.
