^^^That's kind of how I feel about it as well. I mean, in ME2 every single squad member had some personal loose end they needed to tie up and Shepard needed to do it in order to earn their loyalty... and the game placed a big emphasis on those missions. In
fact, not doing a loyalty mission risked losing that squad member in the final fight. Although I suppose some might point out that visiting the crash site of the SR1 had a very personal feeling and was all about Shepard, but it was nothing more than a fetch
quest.

Also I think consumer loyalty is how some places become "super corporations"

Thats not actually true. I know of someone with a tenure of 2 years and a GS of a little over 2K at the time of that giveaway who received a free Xbox One. And I wouldnt call him the most loyal of customers.

Edit: And once MS released a statement concerning that giveway not once did it mention loyalty. It also didnt mention loyalty in the emails that were sent out either

That's the contrast between patience and loyalty. You have to reward your loyal fans, who will stop at nothing for some ESO, with something...no matter how bad it is...

All companies value loyalty from their customers.

The great problem is that many companies get customer loyalty but do nothing to try and retain it or come up with 'reward' schemes that give them the appearance of cheapness.

It's that loyalty that makes people stick with a brand even though it may not be the best in the field at what it does. Just look at the mad loyalty that most Apple users seem to have to their iPhones.
