Hotspot authentication

To add. I can hotspot my tablet launch the app/and a game then swap to WiFi and it works. There's some kind of initial authentication thats getting me.

The authenticate you are getting, is for your internet. You see this a lot in hotels and places like that. Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed fix. Have you maybe tried connecting wireless besides the hotspot?

Are you connecting your console to a hotspot, or a guest network at a hotel, which are secured by a captive portal (authentication web page)?

The second option require you to spoof the MAC address of an already associated/authenticated/authorized device and not the MAC address of whatever interface you're using to connect your Xbox (ethernet/wireless).

Also, make sure you're not concurrently connected with the current associated/authenticated/authorized device and your console, as they use the very same layer 2 identity.

I did try my hotspot from my iPhone and it still didn’t want to connect to Xbox live. My 360 does connect to my router and or hotspot and to the internet but refuses to connect to Xbox live. I’ve been hearing on Reddit from people saying that the authentication server for Xbox live called XEMACS has been offline for a few days.

So I'm talking about my xbox live account. It will disconnect me from the internet and when I go to reconnect the internet, it will ask for more authentication needed. Then, it will take me to a black screen when I press Authenticate. And with the hotspot,
im not too concerned about it. I only use it when this issue happens, id be nice if the xbox live wouldn't do this so often.
