hotmail does not exist after alias change

Hello Ss, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

I see you changed your email address for your account. Did you remove the old email or leave as the Secondary? If you removed it then Microsoft is set up to believe that you no longer want that email and removes it.

Please log in to your account at https://account.microsoft.com and see if the old email exists. If it has been removed though there may be no way to recover the account.

Unfortunately, I created the outlook address literally an hour after they started enrolling and snagged THE email address I wanted…., not knowing you could rename the Hotmail account. From what I’ve been told at Microsoft Answers.com. you cannot change
or merge Hotmail and Outlook accounts once they have been created separately, nor can you use an existing Outlook account as an alias to another account.

It isn't possible to create a new alias using @hotmail, @live.com, or @msn.com. If a Hotmail address is important to you, you need to sign out and create a new account.

Unfortunately that’s not possible, is not possible to add an existing Microsoft email address associated with a Microsoft account

I use my gmail account to access all of Microsoft services - Live, Outlook, Hotmail, etc.

You have to create an account using an existing email address. Also look for something related to alias.
