    Hot to upgrade Minecraft for free on Xbox one


    A while back I got Minecraft Xbox one edition on the disc and I keep seeing a little icon in the settings menu saying "get the new version of Minecraft for free" and when U click it it takes me to the store page for the new Minecraft and it is not available, could someone please let me know as to what this issue could be?

    Is XBOX ONE marketplace the same from XBOX 360?

    Some games offer a free upgrade or reduced price to upgrade to the Xbox One but for the most part they use different programming so are not compatible.

    Free Upgrade Games:

    Destiny (until Jan 15)

    CoD Advanced Warfare (I believe until March)

    Free upgrades for already purchased DLC

    I deleted an old game but it won’t show up in “All owned games” now I can’t download it.

    Oh, just a friendly reminder though that Minecraft Xbox One Edition is no longer available it was upgraded to Minecraft bedrock edition. Were you able to upgrade before when it was given for free?

    Hey there, you've probably got the old version 'Xbox One Edition'. It used to be a free upgrade, however it is not anymore. The aquatic update is on: 'Minecraft' not 'Minecraft Xbox One Edition'.
