Horrible video stutter!

I have had problems with video stutter since day one - literally. I have tried everything, including purchasing ridiculously overpriced HDMI cables, the only thing that works is cycling the power on the One. Up until this weekend the problem was intermittent,
cycling the One would buy me at least a couple of weeks of problem free TV. Now the problem occurs every time I change the channel. If I cycle the One it is fine, as long as I do not change the channel or press the guide button (DirecTV).

What the ***! Do I need to RMA the unit or what?

If you have just recorded the clip it will stutter as it is getting processed in the background. This is why your pre-recorded videos don't do it.

Give the video chance to process fully and try watching the video again, does the video stutter still?

yes they still stutter, anything post update stutters, anything pre does not. Just to clarify, its just video stutter not sound and only when played on tablet/phone. When you select the video and play it on xbox they play fine but if you just highlight it
and watch the preview it does exactly the same as tablet/phone.

 

I think I figured it out. The DirecTV receiver has a setting for "native format", turning it off seems to have solved the problem.

I believe the issue was the receiver rapidly changing formats as it moved from one channel to the guide then to another channel.

Time will tell!

 

I have this issue when using the official usb tv tuner, every so often it stuffers and is especially obvious in sports. I've tried changing to the 50hz mode without any luck.
