home xbox

so today my friend let me sign into his account to put it as home xbox so I can play his games with him but when I try and put set to my home xbox it gives me error code 0x80bd003e and when I went to the errorhelp page I put the error in and it wasn't a
real error that has been talked about :/

On his Xbox my GT is set up already as My Home Xbox, and his GT is already set up as My Home Xbox on my Xbox...

Not sure I understand but here is the low down...
Your xbox should be his HOME xbox
His xbox should be your HOME xbox.

Anything you guy under your GT YOU will own...even though you xbox is his home xbox....

Edit:
To be even clearer.....

YOU log into HIS xbox go to settings and make it your HOME xbox
HE logs into YOUR xbox go to settings and make it his HOME xbox

It does not matter if he is your real life friend, the fact remains that sharing account credentials (or transferring licenses from an account you did not create to your console) is a violation of the Code of Conduct.

The Home console setting is meant for your own primary console.

 

Could you post an actual resolution link, thus actually providing help/support, or can you only scour forums and paste ToS parameters to trigger a post for some tracking mechanism. Thats the difference between the team you rep coming off condescending,
ignorant, uncaring & unwilling to take time to provide resolution pathways for future consumers perusing articles. Thanks for admonishing one and helping none; really lets me know what to expect from support.
