Home Xbox is Horrible

I guess I get the purpose of the designating an Xbox, if you have multiple consoles, as a Home Xbox but it is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER in terms of trying to navigate multiple family members that are trying to play different games or take advantage of online
features.

I don't know how this is not more of a major issue. I have my original Xbox One where I have a few downloaded games, and one was Batman Arkham Knight. I eventually bought a second Xbox One X and made that my Home Xbox since I was going to be playing on
it more often. When I did that, my son lost the ability to play Arkham Knight unless I was signed up. I eventually gave up and switched my original Xbox back to the Home Xbox

On the flip side, I have my younger son who wants to play Minecraft Dungeons on my newer Xbox One X. So I did a stupid thing and downloaded this game instead of buying the disk. And because I switched my Home Xbox back to the other one, now he can't voice
chat with his friends because he doesn't have an XBOX LIVE SUBSCRIPTION! Why in the world would I let my kids play Xbox and have my profile logged in at the same time when I monitor their screen time????? If I am logged in, then they will be able to override
their own dang screen time.

This is just so ridiculous and ill conceived. The fact that you don't have a FAMILY SUBSCRIPTION, do whatever I want to do with the games that I PAID FOR is so absurd. I buy a game that my son can't even play unless I AM LOGGED IN is such a crock. I can't
have more than one kid playing and trying to access features unless I pay for multiple subscriptions?

Does the Game Pass allow for family sharing? I would buy that in a heart beat because what you have now is a complete joke.

That does sound frustrating but I don't think we will see a family game sharing option for any console. Mainly due to users taking advantage of what it would represent. I do think it's a decent idea though. Wonder if there way a way to sense consoles on
the same network and in turn games are allowed to be shared while connected to said network?

It doesnt sound like you have kids. You really dont get the issue I am having. I understand how the disk coorelates to a license but the physical disk I can still take anywhere to any console and use it. My problem is that one child wants to play a game
but can’t because isnt playing from the Home Xbox because my second child is already playing on it. It is a major issue. So I just buy the physical media so as to avoid this. But I have had to download a few games because of this virus so when my younger son
logged on the play it for the first time, it asked him to sign up for Xbox Live. I’m sorry what?

This is a problem. Sorry but this needs to get fixed. Microsoft is a little more concerned with the almighty dollar here rather than the customer experience. There needs to be a family option just like the multiple device option for Office 365. Huge failure.

Wow that’s crazy. Haha. I would pay more for a family sharing option. I dont mind paying for the game, but it is the simple concept of why would I pay for a game twice when it is only being played once. Each boy has their own Xbox so why would I make one
boy play on the other’s Xbox (if it was the “Home Xbox” when he has his own?

Maybe grant the ability to have multiple Home Xboxs?
