How do I deal with the Home Xbox system failing to recognize that I've set my series x as my home Xbox?

I have it set and multiple times now when the internet has gone out from storms I get kicked out of the game I'm playing and told I have to make this my home Xbox in order to play that game.

It doesn't matter if it's an online game or not or a gamepass game or not I'm not allowed to use my own Xbox because of this Home Xbox setting when the internet is out. How do I deal with this?

So, how odd, have you done any procedure on the console to try to fix it.

If you did not do anything yet, there are some things we could try.

First clean the cache of your console that way:

1. Hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until you hear a small sound.

2. Wait 10 seconds.

3. Turn it back on.

Then, restore your console keeping the games and apps:

Try to remove your profile, then turn off the console and remove the power cord; wait for 1 to 2 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the console and sign in!

If the issue persists, I would strongly suggest trying the troubleshooting steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear

Then select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If the issue persists, try to soft reset your console and retry again!

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have issue with home console. Unfortunately, the

home console does not allow for 5 Xbox. Only one console can be set as your home console. It is possible to have a console have multiple accounts set it as home. If you are having the home changed on you, its best to

change your password. As there is a limit of 5 switches.

You can only set your Home Xbox to 1 console at any given time. If you designated another console as your Home Xbox, it will be removed from the previous console. This is limited to 5 changes per year.
