    Home console sharing with my brother in my house on same network


    My brother in my house has a Series S. I have a Series X. I allowed him to make his console "home" xbox, so that he can use my Gold Live subscription and have access to my digital library of games. That seems to work fine. I thought I would also get access to his digital game library. I "switched" over to his account (apparently while he was not using his Series S) and successfully downloaded his digital game (MW2 Campaign Remastered), and began playing. When he got home and logged in to his Series S, I got booted from the game. Am I not allowed to share his digital games, even though he can share mine? Thanks

    You're both using your own separate Xbox accounts correct? One account cannot be signed in at the same time on two different consoles. For you to have access to his games, he would need to make your console his home Xbox.

    Developers can block games from being shared, Call of Duty does this.

    You get more chances to set home Xbox after a few months I believe, but if you use the profile you're setting the Xbox as home Xbox on then you don't need to set home Xbox, when you sign into an account it acts as if the Xbox its signed into is currently the home Xbox.
    Right, and I have done that, but... two consoles in the house, mine and my dad/brother's. I share games with the second console. However, with it not being set as home we can't share the games if I'm wanting to play on my console at the same time.
