Home Console Limit Reset

So I read that the home console switching is limited to 3 times during a one year period. im assuming this resets after said one year period is over. my question is, when does this one year period end? does it end 1 year from setting a home console for the
first time, or does it end at the actual new year, as in January 1st?

No. If you have used your last home xbox change you will have to until your console change limit resets.

You can try to ask support if they will reset it but dont get your hopes up as the only general exceptions to the 5 limit change per year rule would be if you had just gotten a new console or had gotten another system through a warranty replacement. Those
are the only reasons they generally will reset your home console change limit so dont be suprised if they tell you no.

Contact support. They are the only ones who can determine whether you are eligible for a home console limit reset.

 

You shouldn't be hitting your limit unless you are doing something you aren't supposed to

The home console is for you and your family only not for sharing among your friends

If you are moving your dlc everyone you go upstairs or something you don't you use your profile for temporary moves

 

It's one year from the 3rd time you change your home console.

 

If you are trying to restore your gamesharing with the same person/friend (same account or gamertag) and was locked out by this limitation (like what I believed happened to me) but your friend is not , just sign in with your friend's gt and immediately
on the dashboard switch or sign in to your own gt to be able to play the games that your friend bought digitally. Just a recommendation because it worked for me just this morning. Good luck!
