    Home Console and Game Pass Ultimate


    Good morning/afternoon/evening wherever you are,

    I use the Home Console feature to allow my kids to play my library of games while I am traveling for work, which I do frequently. I bring an Xbox with me and sign into it while online to play games myself.

    My question is how, if at all, will switching to Game Pass Ultimate effect the "Home Console" arrangement. I see in the FAQ that I will still be able to sign in to any console and play whatever I own including the Game Pass games. Questions are:

    1. Will my kids still be able to access my library on my home console?

    2. Will they have access to Game Pass on my home console?

    As I am currently on an extended trip for the next few months, I would hate to convert to Ultimate and take my library away from my kids until I get home. Thank you to anyone who has found info on this.

    Not with just PC Game Pass as that would only be for the PC, not the console. Game Pass Ultimate would include both Game Pass for console and PC Game Pass as well as Gold (which is needed to play online on the console). If you switched to Ultimate, you could set the console as your Home console to share the subscription with your son. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox

    Only the account with Game Pass Ultimate should have the console set as Home.

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand have questions in sharing gold and getting game pass Ultimate. The best thing to do is set your

    home console     on B. This will allow the child to play with you when you play on console A. This also answers the other questions. When you upgrade to Game pass Ultimate the gold gets converted to Ultimate time, which is included in game pass Ultimate. You
    will still have access to all games with gold as you will still have Xbox live gold. Here is a

    game pass ultimate faq     for more information on that. The Ultimate included, xbox live gold, game pass for console, and game pass for PC. You will be able to access all this from console A on your profile.

    Game pass not sharing?

    My girlfriend had recently got game pass ultimate and we said we would gameshare it. Her home xbox is my xbox and my accounts home xbox is on her console. The subscription is only showing up on her xbox and is not transferring to mine also how do i fix this?
    Gamesharing through the "Home" feature does not share the Ultimate subscription. "Home" console lets you play any of her purchased and downloaded games even if they are from Game Pass. Your account will not show as having Ultimate, and your account will not be able to utilize Game Pass PC or cloud gaming. Those features are only for the account that actually purchased Game Pass Ultimate.

    Why Cloud gaming wont let me play allowed games?

    Cloud gaming can only be played with an account that PURCHASED Game Pass Ultimate. If you are sharing GPU through the Home console feature, then you will not be able to play in the cloud. That is only for the accounts that actually paid for Game Pass Ultimate.
