Home button will not pull up OneGuide

When I press the Xbox home button on my controller, the screen dims and the “swoosh” audio effect plays, but the OnGuide menu does not display. My console is currently installing Star Wars Battlefront II Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition. Related to this issue,
I also could not initiate the hard reset from my controller; the 5-8 second hold command only shuts off the controller itself.

Guide Button

When I press the guide button (the middle xbox button) it's supposed to bring up the side menu so I can go home, to the friends page etc. but when I press it it just makes my screen darker and not pull up the menu. The only way I am able to get to the home
screen is turn off my Xbox

Where do party invites go?

For COD I think you can also get them by going to friends (Y button) and then hit whatever they call the start button now. Not sure if that's right but I've been able to pull up the invites without going back to the home screen.

Hi

To hard reset the console you must hold the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds not the Xbox button on the controller.

It is also possible to restart the console by selecting My Games & Apps on the home screen then select Apps / Settings / Power & Startup / Turn off or Restart / Restart now.

If your OneGuide comes up when you start the console then you'll need to go into the Settings menu and change what the console does when it starts up. There's an option to start OneGuide or go to Home

Are you able to pull-up the Xbox One guide? This can be done by pushing the (X) button on the Xbox Dashboard and or while in the TV app. Their are you able to scroll through the different Channels and select one.

if you could please try to re-setup the TV settings, this can be done by going to Settings, TV and OneGuide.

No need to correct me, Lost - I knew exactly what you were referring to (the Oneguide). As a matter of fact, it is you that misunderstood me - when I said X button, I literally meant the blue X button on the right-side face of the controller, not the central
"Xbox" button that lights up in the middle of your controller that brings up the home screen. I know my Xbox terminology better than most.
