    Hitman Absolution Corruption


    Been reading 2 year old post for hours now on glitches, freezes and
    corrupted save games, with a patch for all in the works. I downloaded the game With live for free and was loving it untill.

    Once upon a time I started a game and there is no saved data?? What
    What what?!?! No continue available level select was just the first and all challenges empty. Yet achievements and unlocks still good. Start over and its kinda fun restarting knowing all you need to do. I get play it again, well played and
    silent assissin up to chinatown then went to contracts and ran into a freeze, sad but happens. Restart system and "your saved game seems to be corrupted (A)overwrite or (B)do not save". Wow, um er ahh ggrrrr. Start level get to first save point & "progress
    is only saved for the current session". Back to contracts 5-1110--20211-dr eggman19, gun not out fast enough redo redo redo redo....freeze, corrupt save. 4 x's in a row doing this i blew the saves. Don't know if this was a patch fix but Im able to mimic fault. Did
    the patch come with live download of game?

    Formatting is a horribel advice cause it is NOT a issue with the HDD.

    It happens with the cloud too, it is a GAME issue.

    Don´t tell people to Format their HDD that is only the LAST way out and only if you can be sure it is an HDD issue.

    They loose all their files you can´t just say that this is a solution.

    It does nothing the error will persist.

    The problem is still there :/ how can I play this game and finish it, if I have to start over and over again ? Will it be fixed or my money just got wasted ?

    Sorry to hear about your issue! It doesn't seem to be as much an issue with the game as it does an issue with the storage device. Have you tried reformatting your hard drive or storage device?

    Format a storage device

    Important When you format a storage device, all of the information saved on that device is erased and cannot be recovered. Make sure that you either do not want the information stored on that device or have backed up the information to another device
    before you continue.

    To format a storage device

      1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select
        System Settings.

      1. Select Storage or Memory.

      1. Select the storage device that you want to format, and then press Y on your controller.

      1. Select Format. You will see the following message:

        This will delete all content on this device. Do you wish to continue?

      1. Select Yes to format the storage device.

    1. If you are asked to enter your console serial number, do so, and then select
      Done      . This step helps to guard against accidental formatting.
    The console serial number is located on the back of the console and behind the oval door on the front of the console.

    This should help knock out any "bad data" on the hard drive, and hopefully will prevent any more issues with the saves! Please let us know if this helps you.

    Wow. Great stock answer for a problem that's plagued Hitman Abs players since release. I rarely have problems with games on my xbox as it is relatively new, but I myself have had this 'save corrupted' issue 3 times now, and it's seriously made me consider
    not buying another game from this producer. Completely agree with Le Gritche - absolutely not acceptable not to patch up the issue if it's happened to multiple gamers....disgusting
