HIGH PING AND BAD LAG

Hi all new here just got a xbox 360 from a friend

so trying to play black ops 2 but I got so much lag in the game its unplayable

I am on shaw high speed 50 down and 3 up win I run speedtest.net or ping test my ping is from 5sm to 10

But when I go in to black ops my ping Is like from 200 to 300 ms what gives

lag cheating boosting etc

I never ever play in any lobby higher than 50ms. You get bad lag in them, sod playing in matches with higher ping rates.

 

Xbox One SUDDEN LAG, HIGH PING

Hi,

right from the beginning I was having network issues with my XBOX ONE.

Never had issues with any lag before (using the Xbox 360) although my connestion is pretty bad. It was always enough to play online.

DL: 1,2Mbit

UP: 0,3Mbit

Ping: 60ms

I know 3Mbit is required to use Xbox Live. But everything works fine until the Ping rises... It seems like the
PING on my Xbox One rises limitless every now and then. Ping is usually about 60ms for me. No matter which game I play or if I have just turned my Xbox on and am only in dashboard. The Ping rises to like
2500ms! lol yeah really

I have tested this several times with the same results. Support and ISP couldn't help me.

My guess is that the Xbox is down- or uploading something in the background... something you cannot turn off. Since my connection is already bad this may be the cause.

Cannot play any games online. For example I'm getting rubberbanding n BF4.

Anyone having similar or even the same problem?

 

hi im getting the same thing. have a virgin media 30 meg down 2.4 up low ping till connected to xbox live. im upto 3/4 of a second behind whilst playing cod or fifa rendering the games unplayable. reading through v/m forums they seem to place the problem
at xbox lives door. im quite sure xbox live would fire it back at virgin media. carnt see an answer very frustrated, it's a shame ive been an xbox live customer for 6 years now, don't realy want too but it looks like im going to have to try ps4

unfortunately I have the same Problem. With my smartphone on speedtest.net is the ping between 20 and 28ms.

But in the xbox one networkstatistics I got more than 200ms and 25% packetloose! I try another konnektion with the same W-lan as my Smartphone instead the ethernet cable without improvement. So i have the question to Microsoft why
do we pay the xbox live Gold? It has no advantages Compared to PC online gaming witch is free. With my PC i can play bf4 and have a 15-35ms ping having clear Chat in ts. Destiny 2 on the xbox one x Shows many times a day ,, Server disconnect" Livepartys get
broke or other annoying stuff. I will not pay this every year without improvement. By the way sometimes i pray for an ingame-addblocker because of dlc- or lootbox-adversing-popups for the aaa games i have. These are no reasons to buy the xbox stuff anymore.
