High CPU temperature and high memory usage (even when not gaming)

Hello, around few weeks ago my pc has been starting to act up. At first I thought it was just the particular game I was playing cause other games ran fine and that game just wasn't balanced enough and that pcs would have hard time running it so I figured that's where the lag came from.

But about 4 days ago my pc went down in quality performance wise by a lot.

A game I used to run pretty smoothly now runs laggy and junkie.

A game like diablo 4 for example now runs super poorly with a lot of random freezes and sometimes even crashes.

I noticed videos lag in audio when I have a game running, that never happened before either.

I also noticed the CPU usage will dramaticly go up from a simple task like fast forwarding a video or Opening a folder for example.

And that immediately the fans will start spinning to fight the temperature.

I am not sure what's the root of the cause for this and I will appreciate help finding out what's the issue here so that I can contact Asus Incase it's a hardware problem thanks in advance.

Ps the pc is about 3 years old.

11th gen intel(r) core(tm) i7-11700f @ 2.50ghz

you should take it to a local repair technician or contact the support of your manufacturer . This is a consumer technical support forum for the Xbox platform, not general computer support

Hi, if you want to uninstall the Xbox App you can run this command in Windows PowerShell:

Run as Admin and make sure all applications are closed

Get-AppxPackage *xbox* | Remove-AppxPackage

Then, run this to reinstall:

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

After everything is done, restart your PC. Most of the Xbox App will be installed but you will have to finish the installation through the Windows Store.

If you encounter an error installing the Xbox App again in the Windows Store, just restart your PC again and it will work the next time you try to install.

A flying horse

For me it uses low CPU for a while, but then for no apparent reason CPU usage spikes and it becomes very unresponsive. Doesn't seem to correlate to anything I do. The only thing I can do to make it usable again (for a time) is to kill the process in task
manager.

Thx for the answer, but it didn't work

After the xbox app had been added again through the store, it behaves the same. Just using the whole processor core all the time, without doing anything else at these times. I try it with my wifes profile, maybe this works.
