    Hidden feature or bug? Beta - force screen saver on power on/off screen


    I filmed this quick but a video isn't really needed - hold the guide button, and press X on the "What do you want to do?" screen. This dims the screen with the normal overlay with the battery/clock/next achievement, though I don't have use that on my Xbox

    Is this happening because of the screen saver? If so lengthen the time before screen saver starts else turn it off completely.

    Is there a screen saver ???

    The Xbox will usually dim the screen and turn off the controller after a period of inactivity. However, there is an option in settings which will automatically power down the console after a certain period of time. Then all you have to do (if instant-on
    is enabled) would be to say Xbox On, or just turn it on manually. To my current knowledge, there is no screensaver available for the Xbox One.

    There is not. Most modern TV's do have an auto dim or similar you can activate after a certain time of inactivity. I think you have a a good idea though!

    If you go to settings> preferences> idle options. You can select a 60 minute time frame for the screen dimming, unfortunately that is the longest interval available otherwise its 2 minutes, 10,20,30 or 45 minutes. From what i can tell there is no fully
    off option.

    Powered On 24/7?

    Wvu.. just dont use the controller or say Xbox this or that... let it go to sleep (standby) see if it works then.... think of it like your screen saver on your PC.... stop touching it... I do not have mine yet, but i am sure there is a command or a feature
    to force it to standby.. or hell.... just leave the thing on LOL
