In this case it is hard, if you purchase currency in your area he cant use in his region either. Best way would be to just send him the money. He can then buy it that way. As palmetto suggested if you do buy a gift card/currency make sure it is in his region.
Personally bought a friend a game in different region, but sent him the cash through paypal he then purchased it himself.

He used the wrong code on the wrong regional account

He has it the difference is he purchased the card from an region that doesnt match his account so if he has a uk account but bought neitherlands points it wont work

His errpr is he bought the wrong regional points

Its in his account his account his to match his currench

People buy different points due to cheaper taxes or they use uk region but dont have access to it so they buy locAl points which wont woek

Ms gift cards are region locked

the error code changes all the time i even tried paypal that dosent even work i wanna buy crash bandicoot titans

credit card and paypal does not work they give errors all of the time

I have a friend that lives in Buffalo a when he created his Xbox live account he selected Spain as his region since he understood Spanish better. He went to buy a MS point card for 1600 points and it won't let him use it since the card is for US and his
Xbox live region is Spain he has been trying to chance his region so he can see us currency which is PESETAS instead of US dollars. Any help?

We are using different accounts ( he is using a child account with me as his parent ).

When playing he is using his account on his Xbox and I am using my account ( the one with the GPU sub. ) on my Xbox.

I am not signed in on his xbox, but his xbox is now set as our "home" box.

Maybe the only thing to do is to just buy him a GPU sub as well, but I want to make sure that I am not just wasting that money
