    Thanks for the reply but it doesn’t answer my question about why a card that I have been using without any problems all of a sudden gets declined and they are telling me it exceeded the number of accounts it can be associated with, and I only have one account.

    If you're seeing a "there's a hardware problem" it may mean that the console needs to be repaired according to Xbox Support: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...

    Also, please try performing a powercycle on your console by following the steps below and then try connecting again.
