Hi outlook does not let me Add an alias.

• Can you tell which specific account has the problem? Just provide us the domain if it's @outlook.com, @hotmail.com or something else.
  
• How many days had passed since you had this problem?

Your Windows Live ID is not the same as your alias. An alias is used to hide your actual Live ID. Here is a great article breaking down

Microsoft Alias'.

Let us know if you have anymore questions.

Let's try something different. If you don't mind, please add a new alias (outlook) for your account. Once added enable it temporarily to sign in and use that alias (don't forget to enable it for this purpose)

Hi, yes. You can’t add existing outlook ID as an alias
Because they’re already linked to a Microsoft account
