What exactly is your console model or version? When did this issue start to occur? When you press the power button, it doesn't light up as well?

Have you tried to plug it into a different room or wall outlet? Do not use any surge protector.

I am signing in with the Kinect. But I always turn on the xbox using the controller so the Kinect should see that I have the controller.

If the fix for this is to disable Kinect auto login then the 360 login method needs to return as and option. Or if there is only one profile on the system to log into that.

I think you are correct. The game license will, in my view, be tied to the profile; if a licensed profile (or a child profile) is not logged in, the game cannot be played (demo modes possibly excepted of course).



They already sorta started doing this on the Xbox 360. There were (are? it's been a long time) a bunch of games that would freak out if the "owning" profile wasn't logged into the box. IIRC, it had to do with content copied from a busted 360's hard drive
or something, before they came up with a license transfer mechanism. They already sorta had the idea of license-maps-to-profile, though.

I was able to download my profile but now it says that "The current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox LIVE". My live connection is fine and I am logged in.
