I bought Minecraft with a pre paid master card gift cad, but I accidentally bough the deluxe version that costed more. My plan was to request a refund and buy the regular version instead. I sent a refund request and it got approved. I got a email from Microsoft saying "Your Microsoft Store refund has been processed" and that the order has been refunded. The Payment section listed my gift card which was not reloadable. I checked the website that was listed on the gift card to check the card balance and the money wasn't there.

Is my money gone? What should I do?

Nonreloadable only means you can't got to the store and reload it with more money.

Refunds will still work as normal though. Once Microsoft shows the refund as "approved" on their end it can then take usually between 3-5 business days before you would actually see the money back on the card. Refunds are never instant when a refund goes back to a credit/debit card.

Prepaid cards could take longer potentially though so something to bear in mind.

Unfortunately there is not way to transfer V-bucks from one account to another. Also something to note is that virtual currency like V-Bucks is content that cannot be bought and sent as a gift. That information can be found here:

Only digital content in the Microsoft Store that has an option "Buy as Gift" is able to be sent as a gift to someone else and the recipient has to be in the same region the content was purchased from.

The only thing I can suggest is to request a refund and then buy a gift card for the other person so they can buy the VBucks with the gift card. Here is a link going over the refund process:

Ok. You want to request a refund for your gift card. Can I know which store you bought your gift card from?

You can request a refund by signing in to https://xbox.com/refunds.

However, we can't request a refund for an Xbox Gift Card.

The link you send me request my history order to refund…I bought the gift card using a credit card and bought it on ASDA. That doe not appear on my history of orders. Any other suggestions?
