When you try and sign in, does it give you an error code with the message?

A friend of mine is having problems signing into the the Xbox app. my friend tried logging his account into the Xbox app on his brothers pc but when he tried to login to his computer it gave him a error code saying invalid JSON string

You can share the subscription, and access the titles, but the only way to do so, would be to either 1) Sign into the computer with his Microsoft Account, or 2) Sign in to the Xbox (beta) app with his Microsoft Account. Signing into the app with his account
wouldn't require that you sign into his account wholly, just for the app, but that should allow you to access those games.

I have not tested if you sign in as an account that owns the sub, and then sign in as another account on that computer, if you can play them, or if you can play them, if it will register the achievements for them, but I believe you can do so on PC normally,
as long as the sub/acct owner has installed them and has the rights, they're on that computer. Worth a shot, at least, trying.

Thank you for answering me. Signing into Xbox (beta) doesn't work, I have tried it (the account the app considers for the subscription is the main PC account, not necessarily the one signed in the app).

I will try to log in the pc as a whole with my brother's email, because that seems to be the problem.
