Hello, could give more details of what game it would be, whether it plays by the Xbox App, Steam, or direct from the computer, despite the crash it pops up some error message?

As for the most well-known browsers, such as Firefox, Edge and Chrome, also happens the same?

If it's happening when you are not gaming, then it sounds like your laptop has a fault somewhere.

Do you get any error messages when it happens?

If you go to Event Viewer (click Windows icon bottom left of screen, then start typing "event viewer" and then click open on the result), click on the little arrow next to Windows logs and then click on SYstem. Go to whenever the latest lock up was and see if there's any entries just before it with a red error label...these usually indicate a possible fault.

How old is your laptop? What laptop is it? Is it recent or quite an old one? If it's an old one, then it may have a mechanical drive which may be having faults.

Might be worth checking the RAM to make sure that's not an issue as it can often cause faults:

The tool for that needs downloading to a USB drive then you run it overnight to ensure it does all it's runs

I'm experiencing a similar issue with playing Destiny 2. I just built a new PC and whenever I switch to play with a controller after 10 min or so it crashes my PC .

I'm experiencing the same issues. My system was working fine for the first few weeks but when I start playing it today, it keeps shutting off. Every time I'm 5 minutes into the game the system will shut off. And there would be a few times when after it shuts
off, I will turn it back on and it will shut off a second later. It will do this like 5 times until it turns completely on. I hardly was playing my Xbox one. I probably played it 10 times since I bought it.

Hi Dank, I have a few questions for you about your performance and freezing issues.

1) Do you install your games to the hard drive before playing them, or are you playing them from the disc?

2) Are you experiencing freezes when transitioning between the Dashboard, game, or app?



I have also been having random freezing issues. After doing some testing, I discovered that it had to do with having a disc in the tray. It seems that whenever the Xbox 360 was having trouble reading the disc in the drive, my system would lock up. While
I do install any game I'm currently playing to my hard drive, the system will attempt to read the disc in the drive anytime I transition between the game, Dashboard, or apps. My suggestion to you is to try testing for this issue with your system. If you currently
aren't installing the game to your hard drive, try playing that way. And when you're not playing a game, leave the disc drive empty. Let me know if this helped at all.
