I would buy Xbox Gift Card around Christmas

This seems to be a common mistake for parents which is a profitable plus for Microsoft. I just spent the better half of Christmas morning with support and they will not transfer credits. Nor can you purchase an online
gift card with your credits. Their solution was to use the credits to gift games to my children’s accounts. The only caveat was that you cannot gift items such as Vbucks which is the only reason why my kids want Xbox gift cards. This is not the first time
I’ve had a problem with Microsoft regarding Xbox GC. I would rather deal with Comcast than this company. For what it’s worth, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau this morning.

Xbox support cannot replace your gift cards, unless you bought it directly from Microsoft on the dashboard or website

Any gift cards that you buy a retail have to be supported by the issuing company which you'll find on the back of the card where the receipt. They buy the codes from Microsoft and then are responsible for distributing them
