If we do this is there going to be any impact to his XBOX / Fortnite progress ? I guess what I am asking is whether there is any part of his "account / game progress" that depends on / is saved on the box itself or whether it is all stored in the Fortnite
Cloud and gets retrieved as soon as we restore the account on the box ?

His game progress is saved locally and also in the cloud so you won't lose it.

It may be good to switch the save storage to the cloud. This way the game will need to sync saves before playing and allow your profile to be used properly. Here's

Fortnite is free to play and does not require Xbox live, why do I have to create a separate profile with no subscription in order to play at the same time, it makes no sense except for being a cash grab.
