    Hi-Fi Rush Showed Me How Bad Series X ARC Audio Delay Is


    I would really like to play Hi-Fi Rush but it's really unplayable on my system. I have my 1 month old Series X hooked directly up to my TV (HDMI 2.0) which is hooked up to my 5.1 receiver (HDMI 2.0). I used to keep that input on game mode until I tried Hi-Fi Rush. It showed me that my audio is behind the video. Putting the TV in theater mode helps somewhat, but the audio is still late. Taking recordings into Premiere Pro (made on a camcorder) shows that the audio is about 270 milliseconds behind the video in game mode and about 180 milliseconds behind in theater mode.

    Apparently this is a known problem and Microsoft was telling people years ago to post to this thread:

    But it's archived so... I'm starting a new thread. If there's another one that's still open, please point me in the right direction.

    But I'm really disappointed that this is still an issue with a brand new, current gen console.

    Xbox One X: Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) support

    As the Xbox One X is an audio source, it doesn't need to send or receive audio via ARC or eARC.

    Audio Return Channel is only for TV's that are supposed to "return" Audio back to an AV receiver or connected Soundbar.

    As the Xbox One X doesn't have speakers to play audio recieved through ARC, it won't support "ARC" or "eARC". Your TV needs to support ARC or eARC.

    What exactly is your TV and console setup, that you would need eARC in the Xbox One X?

    Can you please clarify which cable are you talking about?

    I have this same audio delay issue with my setup:

    Xbox One X -> Original Xbox HDMI Cable (I presume this one is HDMI 2.0) -> LG OLED B9 TV -> Random HDMI Cable connected to ARC -> Denon X2200W

    I read that the cable for ARC doesn't have to be HDMI 2.0 as it just transmits audio (any HDMI 1.4 should be enough for that).

    Xbox Series X audio stutter

    Similar issue for me. Have xbox series x connected to lg cx and cx connected via e-arc to tsr-700 receiver and 5.1.2 system. Even booting up the console the audio cuts in and out/ stutters! Tried watching some uhd blu rays and same issue. It comes and

    Hey guys, same issue here. The lipsync on my Vizio mq6 is very off with Xbox series X. I own a ps4 and that is not the case with it. I think they need to push an update for series x. I have AC Valhalla and Rdr2 a long with halo and Forza through gamespass and trust me all these game are facing same issue with audio delay.
