This sounds like it might just be an issue caused by Family Plan accounts being transitioned to individual accounts. Once all of the accounts on your family plan have been fully transitioned, the avatar editor should work fine.

In the mean time (if you have the account information), we can try redownloading the profile. To do that:

• Clear your system cache.
  
• Restart your console.
• Download the profile that's having issues.

Yes they can.

They will need to have separate accounts but you can get away with only one live account.

Not sure how the account is setup now but you should do some reading on the Xbox home console option. If there is only One live account set one console as the home console (defaulted to first console account logged in on) and anyone on that console gets
the benefits of the account. The person using the live account logs in on the second console and will have all the benefits of the live account.

Hey there RepellantData! There was a service outage for Xbox LIVE yesterday that caused some connection troubles. Try out these steps then see if the issue persists:

-Delete your profile ONLY (do NOT delete profile and items; here's a guide to show you how to download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile).

-Clear your system cache (use this guide that shows you how to clear your Xbox 360 system cache).

-Restart your console.

-Download your profile (use the first guide that shows you how to download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile again).

Please ensure you have Xbox Live Gold on the account you are trying to use on your Xbox 360, Live Gold is not shared between account on the Xbox 360, unless it is a parent and child account.
