hey Xbox why not just make a xbox one x version of the xbox 360

just give the xbox 360 a xbox one x upgrade just change the motherboard oh and put a 4kuhd blue ray dvd player in it and add 4k resolution and HDR support

Snoop Dogg first made it in that Big Time Rush X-Mas special and now he makes it in this? Snoop Dogg's got it going everywhere. Hahahaha... I wish this one makes it on the PC version but hey, if it gets PS4/Xbox One gamers to play, why not? Awesome.

 

Xbox 360 games that have Xbox One versions but not backwards compatible?!?!?!

I own Resident Evil 6, Arkham Asylum, and Arkham City for Xbox 360. There are Xbox One versions that you can buy but you can't pop in the 360 disc and play? Just make the One version available to those who own the 360 version. Why go through all the effort
of making the 360 version run on the One if they can just give you the One version?

I don't think you understand how the fundamental tech on the inside of a console works.

To play Xbox 360 games in UHD would require a lot more than just 'changing the motherboard'

The Xbox 360 processor and graphics hardware date back to 2005, they can't be upgraded as the chips aren't even made anymore.

Even the Xbox 360 isn't made anymore - production ceased, April 2016

 

It wouldn't work that way.

Even if they upgraded the hardware, the discs you put in would have the old game code on it, that would only render the game just like a regular Xbox 360.

With the Xbox One's Backward Compatibility, they have to "translate" the Xbox 360 games to a format the Xbox One family can understand. And while they're at it changing the game, they also unlock the resolution limitation, and the texture compression.

That way, the Xbox One is able to show Xbox 360 games with better graphics than the original Xbox 360.

Therefore it makes no sense to make a Xbox 360 X hardware that only plays Xbox 360 games.

If you want better Xbox 360 graphics, simply get a Xbox One X and enjoy the growing archive of Xbox 360 backwards compatible games as well as modern games.
