    this is my last hope. in desperate need of help.

    on xbox i just use my trusty turtle beach xo4 or xo7 pro headsets, good mic, the pro has awsome mic monitoring and thumping sound, but i do use the turtle beach adapter with sound settings, the xbox audio controls when plugged directly into the controller
    are horrid.

    Happens to my headset when i use wired . Mines a turtle beach . So this fixes it for me .ill plug headset n no sound. So i unplug controller plug itback in the when its on i unplug headset and then back in and wait 5 secs n bam works great. This should
    work.

    Hey

    Turtle beaches....ear force x31's. It has a USB that plugs into the console, with a receiver that needs to pair w the headset once plugged in. The headset plugs into the controller.

    i have the same issue with my turtle beach x31 headset. I'm using a brand new controller also. one thing you could try is if you have a wireless turtle beach headset, plug the straight jack into the controller and the right angle jack into the headset and
    it should help somewhat. also the plugs on your cable could be slightly bent
