After that is to clear cache. Please clear the cache for the game launcher (e.g., Battle.net, Steam) to make sure there are no corrupted files causing the issue.

Kindly run as administrator. Right-click on the game launcher and select "Run as administrator." This can help give the launcher the permissions it needs to update the game.

Please disable antivirus/firewall. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall to see if it's blocking the update.

Lastly is to uninstall and reinstall the game launcher to ensure it's up to date and functioning properly.

My son is having the same problem. We tried this tip, but no success. Any other tips? Everything else seems to Be working well, but Rocket League. We’ve tried to update it, no luck. We’ve uninstalled and now it won’t install at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have had the same problem lately. try going to your download history and downloading it again. Keep trying, don't give up. it will download eventually.
