Here's one way to do this on the Xbox One console: Press the Xbox System button > Settings > Personalization > My Profile > Personalize Profile. Select your gamertag, select it again to enter a new gamertag, or select one from the suggested list.

Hey Homedog, Unfortunately the only way to get your gamertag changed is if your account was hacked or the gamertag violates the Code of Conduct. If your account was hacked I would advise calling Xbox support first thing in the morning. If your account wasn't
hacked you still have the option to pay 800MSP to change it your self.

I have done the exact same thing a while ago and it seemed like my account has been hacked to. I eventally had to call back to customer service and get them to take one of the gamer tags off my email and change the email on my original gamertag for it to
