Help, Xbox will not connect connect to the network via LAN

When my Xbox One X is connected via LAN (wired), when turning it on most of the time it will not connect to the network.

The only way it will then connect is if I switch back and forth between Wi-Fi and LAN, or reset the console, or pull the network cable out and put back in – and even these don’t always work.

Further information:

- The issue only started when I moved to NBN (previously the Xbox connected fine on ADSL2 with ADSL2 router)

- Wi-fi connects fine

- Other devices (e.g. PS4, laptop) will work fine on LAN connection

- Have used two different routers – currently using a Netcomm

- Swapped and replaced cabling

- Have tried all the solutions on the xbox website and through xbox support (e.g. hard resets, open ports, reserved IP and mac address, etc)

- Have had the Xbox replaced (problem persisted)

- I do have a second xbox on my network (wi-fi) though this xbox is not on when the issue occurs

- I have read online a number of people experiencing the same issue

I feel like I've tried everything and I'm now at a lost with this. Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution (or cause)?

Xbox will connect to network but not internet

Update: I just moved my xbox so I could connect it via LAN and it WILL connect to Live. It will not even connect to internet wirelessly; just the network, and it has a good signal from my router.

 

No longer able to connect to xbox live via laptop network

Initially, my xbox is connected to my laptop via LAN cable and uses the internet from it's wireless connection to connect to xbox live

All was working fine when household internet went off and needed a reboot

Ended up using a LAN cable to connect my laptop directly to the router to diagnose and fix the issue

In this event, a pop-up had arisen and asked to disable DHCP, and i did.

Internet issue was resolved and all hardware is able to connect to wi-fi

Re-plugging my LAN cable to my laptop and xbox, when attempting to reconnect to xbox live, it failed to connect to internet but managed to connect to network

I attempted to look online to re-activate my DHCP and i THINK i have managed to do so...

But i now cannot connect to Network from my xbox and have been left without xbox live

Each time i diagnose the LAN cable it asks me to unplug modem as if trying to connect to a router

Can anyone help?

In my network connections i have LAN cable (unidentified network), Wireless Network connection (talktalk, shared) and Wireless Network connection 2 (not connected)

all have automatic IPv6 and IPv4 address automatic in an attempt to reconnect DCHP

 

Hello this is a common error most users are experiencing and I am sure Xbox Support is aware of and are trying to attempt to fix if possible. Meanwhile you are doing what most of us have to had done, reset the xbox to reset the connection. I am sorry this
is not always working for you, it seems to work for me every time. But again others have had worse issues than me. You can also look online on how to set up your router to allow most of the xbox live services through, if you are confident in messing with the
router protocol.

When I contacted support they denied that this is a known issue. It would be great if they could acknowledge it and advise that they are attempting to fix it.

 

So I've turned the xbox on tonight and it wouldn't connect. I've restarted it 3 times, played with the port, pulled the network cable in and out. And after 15 minutes it still won't connect. This issue is getting worse and the machine is unusable for online
gaming.

Any other advice???

I would suggest trying a
Soft
Factory Reset. Generally when that happens, it could be the operating system is having some technical difficulties. The console was already
replaced before, so I would also recommend trying the console at another home/network, to see if it is because of the current home network or area.



Side Note:
It is
very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing
it from the console.



To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;in middle column at the
top it will say "show on home" if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag
and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.
