  1. Help xbox series x remote play black screen bug

anytime i try an play on my xbox using remote play, with my logitech g cloud or my iphone, or laptop, the app will go an remote play to my xbox i get the xbox logo, an it works, but heres where the issue is now lets say i turned off xbox remote play, went to go use it again after lets say 1 hr or so, i go to use remote play again everything seems ok at first its connecting to the xbox i get the xbox logo an sound, now what happens is my xbox series x remote play is on a black screen if i use my controller an move anyhing or a game was launched alls you hear is the game audio or xbox audio sounds from the main screen, but nothing displayed, now if you were to turn the television on an then instead of using remote play the xbox series x. is actually stuck on a black screen even if your trying to just use the console by default, an no remote play.

now in order to fix this issue i have to now manually hold my xbox series x consoles x button an force it to shut down, wait for it to power down then boot it back up guess what the display now works, an now lets say i go an try an remote play once again , the display works everything works, but as i said above everything this process happens on an on an on non stop with this black screen bug ill remote play once, then what happens. i leave remote play i come back after lets say a 1 hr or so go to remote play again , and boom same bug happens again...

i cant find any fixes for this issue nothing seems to rid this bug , idk if xbox an microsoft just doesnt know how to program firmware to run remote play, but legit it doesnt work at all compared to my ps5 ps5 has no issues remote playing at all, but yet my xbox series x gives me this constant black screen bug an its annoying truthfully i would like to remote play to my xbox using my logitech g cloud but it never wants to work properly.... i tried resetting my xbox series x, that didnt fix it, im connected via ethernet an my nat type is open, i ran diagnostics on remote play, everything is green check marked, ive also tried diff devices to test remote play and all of them suffer from this black screen bug an then the console itself will suffer from it which in turn requires a force shut down manually to the console to fix it... microsoft is no help im beginning to think this issue is just from a firmware related issue not hardware related an microsoft still hasnt fixed this issue...

XBOX Series X remote play only works when connected TV is turned on.

I recently got my Series X, same thing happens, remote play doesnt work when TV is off, after spaceship loading screen, it goes to black screen, then after a minute or so, it disconnects.

Only difference for me is that, PC, Android and iOS doesnt work.

When TV is on, it works perfectly, what gives?

Windows XBOX App after selecting remote play, hangs up on black screen, however remote play works on phone

    Hello Geri,

As I described in my opening post:

"My problem comes, when I launch the XBOX APP on laptop, then I click on the consol icon between the bell and my profile name, I select my xbox series x, and I do not see that nice green rocket as loading screen, but i get an endless black screen. Also no error message, no audio, no video, nothing, just a black screen. (last time i let it go for 4 hours, came back still black screen)"

If you need, I can attache a screenshot of a black screen, but I do not believe that this will lead to anywhere.

If needed I can attach a screenshot of the XBOX APP in Windows where I click, but I hope my description above explains well.

Now that I was able to manage remote play with the old xbox one, i am quite sure there is some error in the xbox series x. However I am not 100% convinced, because both consols are reachable for remote play from the XBOX APP IOS version from my Apple Iphone.

Please let me know what you need to narrow down the problem.

    Many thanks!

    Cheers,

    Robert

My Xbox Series X is no longer selectable for Remote Play, it was two days ago. How do I get it back?

I changed my home console to my Series X as suggested (I normally have my older One X as "home" since my kids play it without me being logged into it, I am now down to only 1 out of 5 home transfers available). It did not help. It did not change anything. Only my One X is showing up in my console list for remote play. I have even done yet another system reset (keeping games and apps) after that.

Other things I have tried today (based on suggestions I've seen elsewhere for this issue), none of which have helped:

    - Change to an alternative MAC address, reboot.

    - Restore to original MAC address, reboot.

    - Manually change system name, reboot.

    - Change to a different network port, reboot.

    - System reset and use my android tablet instead of my android phone during the setup.

I still think this issue is possibly something with my account on Microsoft's side but I am willing to try more suggestions in order to "trigger" the remote play/remote access option for my Series X again. Something is not triggering the remote play/remote access to my Series X on my account. If I go to xbox.com and search for a game that I own in the web version of the Xbox Store, I get the option to "Install to" but it only shows my old Xbox One X, my Series X is no longer listed their either (it was until two days ago). Also, some limited connection between the Windows Xbox app and my Series X does work. If I try to manually add my Series X through the Windows App, the Windows App tells me to turn on and log into my system. It can tell when I do this with my Series X and goes to the next pop up telling me to press enable on my system. If I had remote play disabled on my Series X, I do get the pop up screen on it telling me to enable remote play. I do this and run through the text (everything passes) but then the sequence stops here. The "press enable" pop up screen in the Windows app does not close on it's own. If I manually close it and restore the process it quickly and automatically progresses through the first two pop up screens (turn on/log in, and then the press enable one) and stops with a "something is wrong, try again later" screen. This shows that there is some amount of data passing between my Windows PC with the Xbox app and my Series X and is why I believe that this problem I am having is outside of my home and something on Microsoft's end with my account but I am willing to try more if there is something I missed and/or did out of sequence.
