well if you have anything like demos and stuff you could do without id suggest trying to get rid of as much as possible that you dont use on the daily. ive removed demos that ive kepy for years but only played once and they were as much as 1.5 GB. try this
and see if you can get at least 4 GB on your hdd, if not then if you have a spare USB try that or purchase one on the cheap for 16 just to have an extra to bakc up to and try reformattting your usb after the transfer to another source.

I'm glad the issue is resolved, however I will say that using the HDMI and composite inputs on the console at the same time is not supported so issues like this can occur from time to time. We recommend using one or the other, but not both.

Strange, have you tried another HDMI input on your TV at all ? Maybe even as silly as this looks switch the ends on the HDMI cable so that the end that is in the console is in the TV and vice versa.

i only used to use the hdmi & was advised that a fix for my problem was to use both & its worked, my console now produces 5.1 digital sound output from the hdmi, before i modified the composite lead by removing the casing & plugging in both leads, no matter
what i did the 360 only output digital stereo from the hdmi, this was something that happened after a recent update.

i tried clearing the cache, formatting my drive, & the other solutions i was advised but none worked, thankfully a fan pm'd me a fix that works so i dont have to send my console to be fixed costing god knows how much.
