    Help! Xbox 360 not updating, giving unknown error code


    when booting up my Xbox 360 it tells me there is a system update but after the update completes it says Update failed and gives the error code "4467 - 4476 - 1380 - 267F - C000 - 0185". When this code, when typed into the the code reader on Xbox/support
    it says that this error code does not exist

    Can any one help me?

    I have had a look around and the fault code
    C000 0185     looks like it appears when your console has not been able to download the update and this webpage then refers you to the

    Update Troubleshooter     to get additional help for this.

    This will occur when the Xbox 360 consoles that have the 4 GB Memory Unit and the Memory Unit fails. When it fails it doesn't see the last system update that was installed and gives you a message that one is available.

    You can try and see if you can use a USB thumbdrive to take or install the system update but it doesn't usually work.

    Basically, the 360 is done. If you want to get another, get one without the 4GB MU. And one that you can add an internal hard drive.
