    Help with Xbox disc


    My discs wont play when I place it in my console. How do I fix this? pease help

    Getting the same thing. Wired the Xbox into the router with an ethernet cable. No help. Reformatted the storage (4GB model). No help. Clear the cache. No help. Burned the update onto a disc and booted the Xbox with the disc -- extracted about 50%
    then said the disc was unreadable and to wipe it with a cloth (?!). Something about the update just won't take on my Xbox. Looking for more ideas.

    Sorry to say bud but it's a pretty common issue. I've seen videos online with some hacky fixes but wasn't able to get them to work personally. A quick google search and you should find it.

    I'm on my second Xbox One in two years that's now also not reading discs, it's a real bummer...

    Are you receiving an error code?

    Is the disc being recognized by the Xbox 360?

    Try this article:

    If the issue persists,

    On Step 8 in the article: If your Xbox 360 console can read another disc of the same type, the disc may be the source of the problem.
    Get a replacement disc or troubleshooting help.

    Contact the disc manufacturer for a replacement disc or troubleshooting help.

    Hi, i found this that might help:

    It shows how to manually eject the disc tray on the Xbox, and has a how to video.

    Post back here on whether this helps fix the problem or not.
