help with someone trying to get into my account

my xbox acccount is under the same email as my moms email when she helped me set it up when i was a kid. all of her accounts got hacked this week under her email, her facebook, insta, all that and shes been in shambles and no ones helping her and she lost them it seems. now the hackers trying to get into her microsoft account aka my xbox account and he has been trying to guess the password all day, i have a decent password and 2 factor authentication but im scared if he gets into it. He knows how to change emails from within the accounts he hacks, please someone give me some tips on how to make sure he doesnt get into it.

What that person did is called a DDoS attack. Call your isp and tell them what happened. If you have a static ip address they can change it for you so this person can not continue to knock you offline. Next you need to file a police report in most countries
it is illegal to do this.

Now for the naming and shaming that is not allowed on the forums. File a report on the console against the user and block said user you will be fine.

there is no name and shame on these forums. Please report any user that is causing you problems via the dash board. If you feel the user has gained access to your account please reset your password and call 1-800-4MY-XBOX right away.

Really, this process would be extremely useful, I believe for all areas.

A tip that they gave me, would be that you can change all your old email, for a new one.

But the old email will be completely deleted, so if you have that email associated with other companies, streaming subscriptions and the like, it's not a good idea.
