Help with setting up XBox One Recording/Broadcasting

Hi

I am hoping that someone can help me... My son has asked me to set up his Xbox one so that he can record his game play, make his own videos and then eventually start his own Youtube channel.

I have manged to get as far as to reformat a USB and change the settings on his Xbox so that he can record the game play. I have checked that this then opens on his Laptop. All is okay there.

I have started the process of having his webcam authorised via Mixer. I am just waiting for the 24 hour period to complete.

From reading, I understand that if he starts a 'broadcast', via Mixer, his webcam will automatically start and he will be able to stream his live game play with the viewer being able to see him on screen at the same time.

I do not want this to happen initially - I want his webcam, game play and mic recording to record on the USB so that I can check the content on his laptop before he can add this to his Youtube channel.

The question is; How do I have the Xbox record his game play, mic speech and his webcam recording him, all without broadcasting live?

There is no way of using Mixer but it not going live?

I want ot save the videos and upload them later, rather than it all be live.

sorry, bad english and so,

if you stream on mixer, others can watch you live,

but!!!!

you can also save your videos (complete stream) on mixer and download it to your pc.

Do you know if there is a way to record game play, the mic and his webcam viewing him, without using Mixer?

Or can I set Mixer so that his streams are not live and need to be confirmed before allowing others to see them?

The only way to have full control of your recordings without any problems is using a capture card but that involves more technical aspect of things I am a content creator and this is a thing you must learn watching videos and tutorials and then practice

I have read about capture cards but thought I would check out whether we can make it work with what we have first.

I can currently record the gameplay onto the USB ... there isnt a way to add his webcam recording and mic recording to this simultaneously?
