Help with retroarch and dev mode

    Hi everyone, I'm trying to install Retroarch on my xbox series x but I'm having issues with dev mode. I'm following a youtube tutorial and it's all ok until I get into dev mode and try to add a test account an error message is given (error no: 80A20305). I've paid the £12 to MS to create a developer account and I've added my xbox MS partner center. I found a couple of other threads with the same issue, but no solutions. I've tried unplugging my xbox and deactivating my xbox from the partner center and reactivating it (as per another thread) but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone help?

    Is it allowed to livestream games on RetroArch from the livestream option on share tab

    Having RetroArch in dev mode is against ToS is what your are saying

    Hi,

    When in Developer Mode the console is no longer connected to Xbox Live and no official standard Xbox Live apps or games will function on the console while in this mode. Because of this limited functionality, there are no real limits on what can be run and therefor running RetroArch in dev mode would not be against the ToS.

    The idea of the Dev Mode is to run specially created software designed by yourself or third parties, applications like RetroArch would be no different here. You won't be banned.

    Running ROM's and game images via RetroArch is a legal grey area depending on how you obtain such content, but RetroArch itself is not illegal.

    Yes Ive given up on the streaming aspect but just wondering if simply having RetroArch on my series s in dev mode is bad now

    How do I sign up for Partner Individual Account?

    Hi, I got it working. I searched for dev mode on my Xbox. It gave me a link. I created a new .onMicrosoft.com email. Then it gave me the option Individual. I paid for it. I had to use a Gmail address for setting up dev mode. Inside my Xbox. Test user. Now I have Retroarch. Super happy. Thanks for the help!
