Help with recent Xbox Live game

I previously got a game for free from having Xbox gold. I got Borderlands 1. Not borderlands 2. I saw the e-mail and it said that the game offered was Borderlands 2 not 1 and it is no longer available. I spoke with someone at
Microsoft support who told me to indicate that I spoke to Ref. #[mod removed] . We decided that what happened was a glitch. I would really like to get this sorted and play Borderlands 2 not Borderlands

Although before using the link, try clearing your system cache and then re-download the game from your recent history.

 

Forza 5 will not update

I have been through the xbox support but everything that we tried did not work. Every time i try to play forza 5 i get an error message that there was a problem with the game update. My xbox is connected to xbox live and i have the most recent xbox live
update. please help!

Are you referring to a Games with Gold title? Unfortunately once a month's Games with Gold ends you would be unable to download that game again. It sounds like you previously owned the first Borderlands and were unable to get Borderlands 2 when it was available.

I have never owned or bought any Borderlands game and was surprised when I got a game I didn't want instead of its later version.

That is super strange, not something I've seen in the past. Has this happened to you with any other titles, or is this the only game you've had issues with?

 

This is the first issue I've had using Xbox Gold to get games. I've gotten games this way before such as Outlast and never had a problem.
