    I have a Power A wired controller with the specialized usb-c cable but I lost it and I just have a regular controller with no other wires that can fit into it. I’m stumped on what to do does anyone have suggestions?

    Plugging in headset makes controller turn off...

    Im having the same problem. I updated my controller then, when I plugged my headset into my controller it shuts off. So then I took out the rechargeable batteries and hooked up the power cord to the controller. I then turned on my controller and plugged
    the headset into it and the controller still shut off right away. Ive also did a few power cycling with No success same with a few updates on the controller. Any Help?!?!?!?!?!?

    Controller Issues.

    My controller wouldn't work at all.

    I found turning off the power-strip my new cod xbox one is plugged into when cycling power did the trick.

    I realized it might when I noticed the controller stays on when plugged in,

    even without batteries, even with the xbox off.

    Might not help with you, but it might help someone.

    Got to cut the power completely.

    Remove the batteries from your controller, turn off the console, remove the power cord and wait a few minutes.

    Plug the power cord back into your console, put the batteries in your controller, and try powering up the console with your controller.

    After you power cycle, can you use the USB-connected controller to power on the Xbox? Does that help it recognise the controller at all?

    Just to clarify, are you currently able to power on the console with the power button on the console itself, or are you unable to power on the console via your controller? If your controller is not syncing with your console, then
