Help with microsoft minecraft and parental controls

I just downloaded minecraft on my child's laptop. When I hit play, it asks for parental permission to use launcher. I immediately answer my email to which that request goes. Despite me allowing this nothing happens on the actual app where if we hit play again, we again get a pop up asking for a request parental permission via email. What is wrong here and how can we fix it? Thanks!

You can enable Minecraft from the Xbox Family Settings app on your mobile device.

To download the Family App: https://www.xbox.com/apps/family-settings-app

Click on your Child Account Name > Settings (The cog on the top right) > Multiplayer > Allow

Then, on the same window, under Cross-play:

Allow Crossplay

Allow Communication with Friends

On the bottom of the page, Clubs > Allow (For Minecraft Realms).
