Help with game crashing after shutdown

Have you tried to run a system scan?

Please, open the Terminal window and type in: sfc /scannow

If any error is found, follow the prompts to fix it.

For a case like this would you be able to please quit out of the game and then perform a shutdown and reboot your xbox. After this if the games are still crashing, would you be able to uninstall and reinstall them, hopefully this should correct the problem.

I tried the last 3 things I listed yesterday and after about 2 hours it crashed twice on me. So far nothing works and it seems worse than before. It almost always crashes after 2 or 3 hours of playing online and with this new unit after the first shutdown it keeps happening. My day one xbox usually only crashed once a day, sometimes once every two days. It's strange, because I went through a month at some point with only a few shutdowns and then it started happening more often again. 2k support has asked me to record a video of the shutdown. Maybe they know what to do, but I doubt it since this issue has been a thing since launch and they haven't done anything about it. The console is hot on NBA 2K21 Next Gen, but it seems the same on any X or S optimized game. On non optimized games it runs a lot cooler.

Crashed again only 20 minutes before the console shutdown.

I have not elite controller and it does the same issue (crash/shutdown).
