    Help with fixing an issue with my xbox


    It all started when one day I opened Forza Horizon 4 after just finishing play F1 2017 Free Trial. When I pressed FH4 and it took time to the main lobby of the game it said that I had to delete the local saved game from storage. I did exactly that and it restarted my Xbox.

    While in the restart screen, I noticed that it was taking longer than usual for my Xbox to take me to the home screen of the Xbox. Once there, the screen was black and whenever I pressed the Xbox button on my controller it would turn it grey. It would take around 10-15 minutes for the home screen to pop up.

    Once the home screen popped up and I tried to play a game it would take too long and give me the “tool too long to start” text. I would keep trying to open the game and whenever It did open the game, in the game lobby it would tell me that I had to delete the local saved game even though I had already done so.

    I have already tried repeating deleting the local saved game with no solution and restarting the Xbox and it still gave me the black and grey screen as well as the long Xbox Restart screen.

    I would like to know what’s giving me this problem and if there is any posible solution.

    Sorry about that, Carez. I am afraid there may be a problem on the console itself. If it persist, you need to consider getting it repaired.

    I see. Would you like to try resetting your console completely? You can try performing a power cycle again. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds and then plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on. Try testing your controller first.
