    Help With Error 0x87e0000f


    HI have had this with 2 games that I have tried to download recently (digital download not disc)

    first was sunset overdrive

    2nd was Lara croft temple of osiris - which i have paid for

    Partial download then it stops at the same point every time ( in case of lara croft 5.4%)

    I get the message wait a while then resume installing, we are unable to complete the installation at teh moment (0x87e0000f)

    I have done everything suggested elsewhere

    Cancelled the download - and started from fresh

    hard reboot - unplug power cable

    turn of modem and reset

    move installation from External to internal HDD

    clear local save games

    I have done these things multiple (over a dozen) times over the last 5 days

    Interestingly during this time i did manage to download Gears of war (original) version)

    I have looked everywhere for a solution and have not found one

    1. Power Cycle

      . Press and hold the Xbox Logo on your console for about 8-10 seconds until the console shuts off.
    2. Check the Xbox Live Service Status

    So I found a solution on the Xbox forums that finally worked for me.

    I set manual dns details as

    8.8.8.8 and

    8.8.4.4
