    Help with bedrock and Xbox


    I setup up a server on its own computer hosted in my own home. I can connect to the server via IP on my own minecraft account, on my personal PC. I however am having issues with seeing/adding the server to my children's xbox. Yes, the Xbox has live. I tried looking through parental setup thinking it was a setting there, however I am not having any luck.

    Hey KyleCN, thanks for posting. I can understand how this setup is confusing.

    Unfortunately, the Xbox version of Bedrock doesn’t support adding custom servers directly like the PC version. There are some workarounds using third-party tools like BedrockConnect or by changing your network’s DNS settings, but keep in mind these aren’t officially supported by Microsoft. Parental controls usually aren’t the issue here, so it’s more about the platform limitations.

    Don't listen to her she has no idea what she's talking about, Minecraft has recently begun requiring a subscription for LAN games as well. we have no information Beyond this and you would have to contact Minecraft support for more details

    If you have Minecraft: Xbox One Edition you should automatically get Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Free. Hope this helps!

    Minigames are only available for Minecraft Xbox One Edition. The version you are playing is the bedrock Edition. The game pass only has the bedrock version available for download.
