Help w One monitor, all in one PC with output only HDMI, trying to play Xbox on the pc

Unfortunately, if your model only has HDMI video output, you cannot reverse this, only by using another TV or monitor.

This is an "All-In-One" (AIO) PC. That means, that this is not just a monitor, but this is a complete PC inside the monitor. And according to the user manual, the HDMI port on the back is only a HDMI 1.4 OUTPUT. Not an Input.

You can not connect your Xbox console (or any other HDMI device) on that port besides a second monitor, to expand the desktop the PC inside that All-In-One on two monitors for multi monitor use.

You can't. You can connect Xbox 360's to monitors that have HDMI inputs, but you can't connect them to the PC directly as PC HDMI connectors are outputs only. The same is true for Laptop HDMI inputs.

If you have a PC monitor you're in luck. Otherwise it's going to be TV only.

If your PC is one of those all-in-one PCs with the computer located inside of the monitor case then this won't be possible either.

Yes that is the problem the HDMI ports on the back of All in one PCs our output only so that you can use a second monitor.

So this option is not going to work for you.

All-in-one PCs sometimes provide an HDMI input that allows for external sources to be displayed on the AIO's monitor. That may work.



HDMI ports on the back of a PC case (separate from the display) are typically outputs, not inputs.
